The Show Goes… Virtual
For the First Time, NIADA Goes Online to Deliver the Used Vehicle Industry’s Premier Event
The annual NIADA|NABD Convention and Expo is the used vehicle industry’s premier event of each year.
But this year that title has undergone a slight variation.
Get ready for the 2020 NIADA|NABD Virtual Convention and Expo Series – the premier used car industry virtual event.
Because the massive disruption caused by the COVID-19 pandemic has made an in-person Convention impractical, NIADA has moved it online.
We’re offering the best education available for independent vehicle dealers and access to a virtual Expo Hall featuring companies offering a wide range of products and services all designed to help make your dealership more efficient, profitable and successful.
The Virtual Convention Series is a series of three one-day events, with new sessions coming each week for three weeks.
The agenda will include all the expert analysis, dealer panels, auto industry leaders and cutting-edge content you’ve come to expect throughout the NIADA Convention’s 74-year history. You’ll hear from NIADA’s own Steve Jordan and Chuck Bonanno, NABD founder Ken Shilson, industry leaders and experts, and top dealers from around the nation.
It begins Tuesday, Sept. 22 with general sessions – including a workshop featuring the acclaimed “Mr. Accountability,” Dave Anderson – and breakout sessions.
That will be followed by dealer education each of the next two Tuesdays, Sept. 29 and Oct. 6.
And while that last date marks the end of the live sessions, it’s not the end of the dealer training. All sessions will be recorded and will be available for viewing later by Convention registrants.
You can also get additional on-demand content that will be released during the education days that can be viewed at any time.
The focus will be on information dealers have told us they need and want most in this time of uncertainty, notably the three Big Cs: cars, customers and cash.
The education tracks include Vehicle Acquisition and Wholesale Market Changes, Online Retailing and Contactless Transactions, and Cash, Credit and Financial Markets.
In addition to all that, the Virtual Expo Hall will be open the entire time, giving you 24- hour access for three full weeks to check out the industry’s top vendors – and a chance to schedule virtual appointments with them to discuss your specific situation and find out how their offerings can work for your operation.
With the world – and the used vehicle market – changing faster than ever before, it’s vital to stay up on the latest ideas, strategies and techniques to allow your dealership to survive and thrive.
“NIADA’s commitment to help independent dealers succeed has been at the heart of our association for 74 years,” NIADA CEO Steve Jordan said. “The first NIADA|NABD Virtual Convention and Expo Series is our way of honoring that commitment in the face of a global crisis.
“This has been a time of unprecedented change for all of us, and like everyone else, independent dealers have had to find new ways to make their operations work. In order to give them the tools they need to do that, we needed to find a new way to make our Convention work.”
